Pediatric Foot Ailments

Our office uses the latest diagnostic tools along with a very thorough examination to accurately diagnose and treat congenital, structural, and gait abnormalities seen in infants and children.  Many pediatric problems can be seen early and are most successfully treated at an early age.  In fact, many adult problems can be prevented if addressed during childhood.

Problems commonly treated in the child include:

  • Abnormal toe-in or toe-out

  • Toe walking

  • Flat feet

  • Juvenile bunions

  • Clubfoot

  • Warts

  • Ingrown nails

  • Foreign bodies

  • Athletic injuries

Many pediatric concerns are treated conservatively using proper shoes, stretching, orthotics, and casting.  Occasionally, surgery is necessary to achieve the best possible results.
